Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

I've tried and tested looaads of mascaras in my search for the perfect one and, just when I thought I'd never find what I was looking for, I stumbled across Smashbox's Full Exposure...
Okay, so I'm quite fussy about mascara, it's the one piece of make up I wear every day. A good one can transform your face in an instant, making you look wide awake when you've been burning the candle at both ends. It can make  you go from little Miss Piggy Eyes to helloooo in the wave of a wand (a mascara wand, naturellement!)

I'm not a fan of the thick, claggy type that make your lashes look like a couple of tarantulas have taken up residence on your eyelids, and look like they would cause a considerable draught every time you blink. But, on the other hand, I don't like the 'thin', 'natural' ones - you might as well not bother. Is everyone as fussy as me about this?

I'm also a contact lens wearer so I need a mascara that doesn't flake and irritate my peepers.

I'd ploughed my way through a whole beauty aisle of mascaras, from cheap and cheerful to high end and hadn't found anything that ticked all my boxes. That was until I bought a rather eye-catching Smashbox eyeshadow pallette that came with a free sample size tube of their Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black (www.smashbox.co.uk). Friends, my search was over.

I was so impressed, at the first opportunity I picked up a full-size tube and saved my little mini version for my emergency kit that I keep in my handbag at all times!

So, what makes it so good, I hear you ask? Ooh, where to start... Well, the brush is sturdy, tapers nicely at the end and is full of bristles to load up the mascara. And, upon application, it separates my lashes rather nicely while making them look nice and full. Even better, it builds brilliantly giving you  the freedom of going from a day to night look quickly and easily without clumping or giving the appearance that you only have three eyelashes! And the good news for us contact lens wearers is that it doesn't flake one itty bitty bit, so there's no irritation, therefore no piggy pink eyes. Perfect! It's staying power is pretty impressive, too. It can really go the journey and mine stays on all day without smudging or sliding south and making me look like a panda or zombie! It doesn't dry your eyelashes or dry out in the tube either. What's not to love?

I use the washable for everyday use (which washes off easily) and the waterproof option for when I'm going for a dip or a walk with the threat of rain.

I first found the brand a year ago and I'm still completely loyal to them and can't imagine ever switching to a different mascara. Thank you Smashbox!

At £19.50 it isn't the cheapest mascara out there, but I would definitely 100% say it's worth every little penny, And if you buy it at the moment you can do like me and take advantage of a special offer of £40 worth of products at £19.50,  which includes a full size mascara, a mini face primer and a full size eye liner. But, after hearing all of that, you're still not completely convinced then you can pick up a cheeky little mini size for £5 (as per the picture below) and give it a go yourself. I'm sure you won't regret it.

P.S. Their Full Exposure Eyeshadow Pallette is just as amazing and lasts for sooo long, too.

I'd love to hear about any products that you've found as amazing as I've found Smashbox...
